The summer of 2014 was spent in Guatemala City, visiting my dearest friend and college, Paulina Buonafina who also is an expressive arts therapist. The initial purpose of the trip was to do some Spanish immersion to improve my language skills. Secondly, I wanted some experience doing art therapy in another culture, and third, I wanted to tour that beautiful country. A fourth thing happened along the road, and that transformed much of the summer and took our careers in a new and extremely positive direction. Information on the INCAN Project, introducing art therapy in the the state run cancer hospital in Guatemala City will be posted in February 2015.
